Run Across America - 28th July - Day 45

It was another full day of running (40 miles) where I was running towards a very small town called Lindon which is still in Colorado, but nearly on the border of Kansas. It was a boring day of running compared to the previous days when running through the Rockie Mountains as the road today had nothing either side of it apart from plain fields. The only interesting thing from running today was when I was whistling with the birds and also when I had to do a number 2 under a bridge (sorry but when you have to go). I’d only see a truck or car every 10 minutes, so it became a mentally draining day and I can’t wait until I see something interesting or worth noting about in the next States.

Alan Firth (run across America director, who’s route I’m using) informed me a few days ago that the road I’d be running on would be rolling up and down and don’t expect it to be flat as you’ll be unpleasantly surprised. He was right as the road today was flat for a couple of miles before hitting a hill which would be at least a mile long. I’m just looking forward to crossing over into Kansas in a few days time, even though it will be just as boring with no scenery (Utah and the Rocky Mountains were best) , but at least I’ll be closer to the half way mark.

Next stop is Kansas State in a few days

Artist of the day – 2 many DJ’s
