Run Across America - 10th July - Day 27

Today was only a half day of running after completing three full days covering 120 miles, so it was only a 25 mile running session today into Prince Town, Utah. My legs were feeling a lot better today as yesterday they were very stiff, but the massage I received from Natasha helped a lot. The morning started later than usual as it was only a half-day (11am start) meaning we had a few hours extra in bed. I think that we all deserved a few more hours. There were no running breaks on the RV today because the team went to get the RV fixed in Prince town whilst I ran to the campsite, which was 25 miles away. I ended up finishing the run after 5 hours, and as I arrived at the campsite the team also arrived with still a broken RV.

The RV is now our 2nd one in a space of 4 weeks and I’m getting annoyed with the customer service (El Monte RV) are giving us. Today the air conditioning plus more was meant to be getting fixed whilst I was on the road running, but no. Instead tomorrow we all have to travel to Salt Lake City, Utah (100 miles) to pick up another RV. They will get the biggest kick up the ass tomorrow from me if we are not happy with the new RV we are getting. I will DEMAND a refund for the full amount I paid to them in Los Angeles. We are 5 days ahead of the schedule, but I don’t like losing a day when all El Monte RV had to do was travel down with a new one to the campsite. I am now going to lose a day of running, so if the RV company try to screw us over again we will take them apart, will keep you all informed.

Artist of the day – Sound of the big lorries trying to pass me on narrow roads (scary)
