Run Across America - 17th June - Day 4
Today was the beginning of running on Route 66 and remember that it is the old route as there is now interstates to use, meaning the road was very quiet with just lot’s of dogs barking along the road and Natasha getting very scared as she is terrified of dogs.
The most exciting thing of the day was making funny pictures in my reflection on the road just to amuse myself for over 7 hours. I decided that I need to get on busy roads again very soon otherwise I’m going to go insane with the long, long, long roads that never end. I began to feel a couple of blisters forming around toes and I believe the reason is the sweat I was getting from the heat.
When I arrived back at the RV after another 32 miles running Alex was busy getting dinner ready, Natasha was on the roof, Trevor was getting ready to give me a massage and Ben was just chilling out as he had been driving all day trying to find a camp site for the night. We didn’t find a camp site but a golf course let us stay in their car park for the night.
