Run Across America - 16th June - Day 3
Today began at the normal start time of 08:30am, making sure we were up at 7am for Alex to cook some breakfast (scramble egg on toast) on both days. The third days running was a little tough as it was not just running but also navigating around a woodland area and as I’m not the best at navigating it was an eventful time. I firstly had to run across some train tracks before walking alongside a tunnel which when looking down seemed at least 15ft. When I finally got to the beginning of the tunnel to go through it, it was actually closed meaning I had to go back on myself and walk over the very busy I-15 interstate, this took nearly 15 minutes to cross. The rest of the day ran smoothly with the final 15 miles trekking through woodland and just making sure I didn’t miss the landmarks described on the map.
